Ulm Poetry Summer & International Danube Festival: What Are We Talking About When We Talk About Rivers
Reading and discussion with Franziska Füchsl and Faruk Šehic
Rivers are central motifs in the works of Austrian writer Franziska Füchsl and Bosnian author Faruk Šehic. Both the Müh River, to which Füchsl’s new book is dedicated, and the Una from Šehic’s novel—recently translated into German—are tributaries of the Danube, the central theme of the International Danube Festival. At the same time, the prose of both authors is strongly influenced by lyrical forms, which is why they are also guests of the Ulm Poetry Summer (Ulmer Lyriksommer).
